Universities Start To Prepare Students for the AI World
The hardest aspect of my work is getting educators to believe that AI will soon radically change the world….They don't believe me. And yet, even the biggest AI skeptics aren't debating that big change is coming.

There are two ways schools think about AI —
(1) They think of it as an (instructional) technology that they should allow into their existing curriculum.
(2) They understand that AI will soon change everything about the world (it is already starting to do this) and they want to prepare students for it.
As I’ve stated many times, only #2 is important to me. Why? Because it doesn’t matter if we put AI into the curriculum/teacher it more efficiently if that curriculum is not relevant to preparing students for an AI World.
The starting point has to be #2. Then we can tackle #1.
Some universities are starting to do this.
To support these efforts, I put together an organized list of colleges/universities that are offering school-wide, departmentment, or university-wide programs to prepare students for an AI-infused world.
It does not include AI-related computer science programs.
Objectives
*Help colleges & universities see what others are doing
*Assist high school students with university-selection
*Push the discussion beyond “edtech” / using AI for school
Would your college/university like to be listed?
I’d like to list more colleges and universities, but in order to be listed it must be a non-CS initiative that is department-wide, college/school-wide, or university-wide.
If you'd like to add something, send me the description and the link to the program. stefanbauschard@globalacademic.org
