The presupposition in this piece is that the purpose of higher education is, or ought to be, to prepare students for the job market. It also assumes that university courses ought to be about problem-solving. These assumptions are quite narrow, and especially denigrate the humanities.

It's also troubling given the current oligarchic control of LLMs. In effect, we're being told that universities have an ethical obligation to teach students to involve some billionaire's product in everything they do. Billionaires who, BTW, are tending to support authoritarianism. It seems premature to talk about ethical duties of universities until one confronts the political context of what we're being urged to do.
