A Website
Using Replit for the first time, I was able to create a basic website for debaters on next year’s policy debate topic — US exploration and development of the Arctic.
I used text prompting for all of the following —
Basic organization and construction of the website
Bulleted links to external resources on my other website
Sub-topic organization
Generating news updates from an API (it told me where to get the API key and prompted me to insert it)
Any corrections. I had to do some re-prompting to clarify things. When something didn’t work, I simpy tried re-prompting with a clearer prompt that I thought would solve the problem.
There are few additional AI elements —
I generated the video you see on YouTube using Google’s VEO2
There is a link to an essay I co-generated with Claude, ChatGPTo4, and Perplexity
A podcast about the topic with Notebook LM using the essay and other documents I found as training material.
Some questions I need to explore —
(1) How will I provide security for this?
(2) Can I easily integrate it with my regular site (debateus.org)? I think I can just add it as a sub domain.
(3) If I want an app, how will I integrate that since Replit (currently) won’t build apps.
If I use no-code Lovable to build an app, how will I integrate it into this ecosystem?
You're going to single handedly change how competitive debate is done......
