AI literacy is an emergency
The video is below
Recently, Inflection AI launched the Pi bot. The Pi bot is based on a unique large language model (LLM).
Many companies are engaged in battles over which LM is better. These debates usually center on questions of size, information accuracy, the size of inputs and outputs, and the speed of response.
The Pi bot, however, has a different focus; it wants to be your friend. IBL News notes, “‘According to Inflection, Pi is intended to be a “kind” and “supportive” companion, offering “friendly” advice and info in a “natural, flowing” style.”

Watch this 3:30 video and consider the potential dangers of emotional manipulation.
Here are all the ways you can develop your friendship with the bot…..It will be interesting when this technology gets integrated into learning bots….
Dr. Erik Garcell highlights the danger:
Developing emotionally intelligent AI systems is an important aspect of enhancing human-machine communication and collaboration.
Quantum computing could play a significant role in improving AI’s ability to understand and interpret human emotions, enabling more empathetic and effective interactions. By processing vast amounts of data and recognizing patterns in human behavior, quantum AI could be instrumental in designing AI systems that can seamlessly integrate into our daily lives, providing support and companionship.
However, the prospect of emotionally intelligent AI raises concerns about the potential for manipulation and the loss of human connection. As we develop AI systems that can mimic or even surpass human emotional intelligence, we must be mindful of the potential consequences and take steps to ensure that such technologies are used responsibly and ethically.
The following movies portray emotionally intelligent AI:
Emotionally Inteligent AI:
Her (2013)
Ex Machina
Blade Runner
Bicentennial Man (1999)
I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
